Strong private investments are required at scale and speed to drive sustainable development projects in emerging economies and frontier markets. However, the ability to attract new private capital flows into these regions is constrained by global investors’ perception of the associated risks involved including regulatory, political, technical or macro-financial risks.
Through blended finance, public and philanthropic players can attract private capital at scale by acting as a buffer to such risks, in so doing, they are able to crowd-in private investments that would otherwise not be available.
To encourage and facilitate the entry of new players to explore the potentials from leading industry actors actively engaged in blending in emerging economies, the 4th Blended Finance Africa 2026 will gather a full spectrum of stakeholders in the arena to:
- Discuss the latest trends, effective strategies and positive impacts of blended finance in emerging economies and frontier markets;
- Connect investors with new partners, opportunities, and bankable projects in various sectors and geographies; and
- Promote public, philanthropic and private partnerships which is vital for the success of the development goals.
